It is always a good idea to contact your local police department and provide them with the details of the incident, but most check fraud cases in Harris County must be reported directly to the Harris County District Attorney's Office Check Fraud Division.

Fortunately, the Harris County DA's Office has developed an online complaint filing system for retail merchants.
